Total Guitar Magazine has given Celine Dion top honors for the "worst cover song in history", for her rendition of AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long". Here it is:
Concerts Without the Hassles Sometimes, just the idea of fighting crowds and sitting in hours of traffic can keep you from getting out to a concert. In case you haven't check them out yet, there's a place downtown on India Street called Anthology.
They've been around for a couple of years now, and until recently they specialized in concerts by jazz artists, but this year they've branch out and are now bringing in artists like Richard Marx, Ambrosia, Howard Jones, Rita Coolidge, and Jefferson Starship. This place has table seating, where you can enjoy great food and watch a concert, where there's not a bad seat in the house. It's a great place to take a date, or hang out with a group of friends.
You can check them out at: anthologysd.com ...and if you're signed up as a KyXy Loyal Listener, you may want to watch for an email on Monday, for a way to win tickets to see Ambrosia this Wednesday night at Anthology!
Gone Country...
First Jewel crossed over and became a country singer. She's touring with Brad Paisley and she's a judge on a country-fried version of American Idol, Nashville Star.
Now, it's Jessica Simpson going from pop-star to country-star (we'll, the jury is still out). Check out her first country single "Come on Over" and judge for yourself!
The Voice of an Angel....
I had a chance to meet Marie Digby today, at an acoustic performance at Tower 23 in Pacific Beach.
She first showed up on YouTube a few years ago with her cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella", and you may have heard her Christmas song "Bring Me Love" on KyXy last year. If you get the chance, look her up on iTunes, or better yet, head down to .Soma tonight. Tickets to the show are only $12
