Jewish Family Service of San Diego was founded in 1918 by a consortium of women's clubs who sought to address the myriad of human needs of the time. Today, JFS is a comprehensive social service organization with nine locations throughout San Diego County and an office in Palm Desert, serving the Coachella Valley. From its early grassroots origins, the agency now serves over 20,000 people annually.

The Ninth Annual Debbie Olivier Memorial Golf Classic benefiting local residents with autism, developmental disabilities or other special needs tees off on Monday, July 28, 2008, at San Luis Rey Downs Golf and Country Club. Golfers will enjoy a beautiful day of golf at one of the premier courses in North San Diego County while helping a great cause.  Entry fee is $125 per player and includes golf, cart, lunch, auction, raffle and an awards dinner with prizes.  The event is open to the first 144 entries.  Putting contest begins at 11am with a shotgun start at 1pm.  Part of the event proceeds will help support Easter Seals’ education, job training, recreational and life skills services for local people with disabilities.
